We have spent the final week of our first two years compiling deleted & flubbed material as a break from the norm; those actually took some time to organize. What we opted to do this time around was to take an actual week off. We both worked our days jobs (even on the holidays), then spent some quality time revisiting Christmas films as our families are not near Seattle. Of course we watched Die Hard. If you haven't, listen to Episode 44
for some seasonal talk.
The file is merely the opening track from Oingo Boingo's last album in '94 as we were talking about Burton/Elfman last month.
We will likely do a Flubisode this coming week or so. That is our podcast version of deleted scenes & gagreel material; check out episodes 48 & 98 for examples. Until then, enjoy your respective holidays or hopefully at least some time off of work or school or both. Thanks for another year of listening!! We'll be back next Saturday as 2015 commences our 4th year...

Well folks, here it is - Our last Tolkien-sode. The road does not go ever on as we say goodbye to Peter Jackson's LOTR movie adaptations. Fellowship was the first taste of amazing for many of us. For almost 50 years we were waiting; hoping beyond hope that someone talented enough could come along, rally like-minded enthusiasts and give a silver-screened face to characters that we treasured & loved.
What's our take on it? Well, that's why ya gotta listen. Worry not: we won't kill you
with spoilers. Especially in our talk of The Battle of the 5 Armies. We have your best interests at heart.
And... we may have lied at the beginning: If you whip
up enough of a frenzy, we may get around to the Rankin-Bass adaptations sometime. No frenzy, no Sir Theodore as Gollum. We'll just watch 'em ourselves & NOT tell you why we love them.. so there.
Who knows. We don't. We just do what our Rice Krispies tell us to.

In the vault of Female Film Bad-Assery, there are those who reign supreme as queens amongst the gentry. Ellen Ripley & The Bride... we have mentioned, but there are more. The mountain is lofty, but its population is far from limited.
Two more women join the ranks of this already formidable matriarchal monarchy. Resolute, deadly & realistic in their portrayal, both have shaped the criteria by which so many contemporary female protagonists are judged. Keep to the right & aim for the knees as we bring you more Bad-Assdom.
We referred to a site that broke down a scene in Silence of the Lambs. Also, we called it by the wrong name. Here is the link: Every Frame a Painting

You know them, but do you love 'em?
This week it's a stroll down that alley painted in stark black & white. No ambiguity for these. oh no.
More often than not reserved for conversations revolving around Pink Floyd albums (here's a clip about the new Floyd album) or political leanings, the adulation & venom are flung freely in discussions like this week. One can be either for or against these flicks, there are no Swiss in this mix. No doubt many of you have bore witness to just such "discussions."
So, put some milk on to boil, then stir in a couple'a spoonfuls of this episode to warm you on this chilly December night (or whenever/wherever you may listen).
PS: We snaffu'd a bit during recording: It's Mike White from Gentlemen Broncos and Jerusha Hess is MARRIED to Jared Hess. She's NOT his sister.
